[WWI] Is there something wrong with the Roden 1/72 Albatros?

I did the same thing.  Despite my efforts to maintain symetry and proper dihedral, the lower wings ended up whacked.  Somehow, on the finished model, it doesn't show up very badly at all.  But she'll never be a contest winner!

Last night I did something I've been planning for years, I glued together the Alb DIII (oeffag).
(lower wings to fuselage and stabiliser) I had drilled joles and added various strengthening pins,
this was because I like to assemble models fully painted. I was surprised to find one wing
ended up higher than the other, and the whole darn thing was sort of crooked.
After some panic, re-glueing and bending I got it all straight and dihedral about right, but
I did end up with a slight step on the left underside. Nothing serious, it won't show when touched up.
Is there something strange on the Roden kit or was it just me messing up?
