I don't know enough about computers myself to do it but I do have friends who do. I will talk to them and see what they can do.

Open up the disk and pull out the hard drive. Connect it through one of the IDE or SATA-connectors on your motherboard. See if the PC can find the disc at all. If it does, install either GetDataBack or some other good software. If the disc is found, I would say that it´s at least 90% chances of retrieving your info.

I had a bunch of data, photos, etc. on an external hard drive and now I cannot access it. My computer doesn't recognize it as being there. This morning when I got on my computer there was error message saying F drive files had been lost. SO, my day is made. NOT!!!!!
