[WWI] Wingnut LVG C VI rigging question

Hi James;

The modelling gods have favoured me! I had installed the spreader bar, without realizing that the holes were there. My eyes failed me, I had to use my optivizor and another magnifying glass to find the holes. By some miracle, I installed the spreader bar right way to.

I'm pretty much ready to assemble the components. I had thought of doing the white camouflaged aircraft just like you, but was scared of wrecking all that lozenge. I did not do anything to the kit, OOB is pretty much my way. I'm going with the one that has the chessboards on the fuselage.

Thanks for the info,

Jamie

    Hi guys;

    Where exactly do the bracing wires for the undercarriage attach? The fuselage attachment points are clear, but the Wingnut instruction sheet is not clear as to where the other end of each wire goes. I've looked at the other builds online, and noticed that I am not the only one confused about this point. Some people have attached the wire to a yoke around the axle, others have drilled a hole in the forward landing gear strut on each side. Still others have attached the wires to the ends of the rod that goes in front of the axle. I've looked at a lot of photographs and drawings but none seem to resolve this.
