Thanks to all who commented. This was an enjoyable kit to build! In answer to the 3 questions I recall:

1: The provenance for the light grey is quite simply profile drawings and written comments. I suppose I could have gone with RLM 02

and pleased more of the people interested. Pictures seem to show a lighter color. Shane at least should understand my hesitance to use the 02 grey for all Albatros Metal parts :-)

2: As for how I did the Mottle, nothing fancy, just hand brushed red brown with a fine brush and thin paint.

3: Yes the paints are Misterkit. Albatros Dark green, red brown, and undersurface blue.
