Buz, thanks for those links!
I found a few of those already, but the last couple were new for me.
As you can tell, I'm starting in on the DFW seriously now, and I think I have enough to go on. I'll keep you posted, and thanks again for the kit!
BTW, did you see the "Tannenberg" photo I was sent? If not, let me know and I'll send it along since you said you were intending to build that plane.
J.R.

J.R.,
On the WW1 Modeling Mailing List website go to the "Links to other Modeling and WW1 sites". Scroll down to "Rosbud's WW1 Aviation Archive". There are some links to some interesting photo's. Here are the ones for the DFW B.1:

Thanks for the responses, Merrill and Ivan.
I agree that all the evidence I have supports the B.I being fabric covered and the C.I in plywood.
I have also seen that there are a lot of detail differences between individual aircraft, which is to be expected because like many of the Tauben they were impressed civil planes.
I would still like to see any photos or drawings of the B.I that are available.
Again, thanks!

Hello Everyone;
I'm beginning to work on a DFW B.I and am having trouble finding reliable information on this plane. Any good sources out there?
My main concern is with the fuselage covering. Most of the information I can find, including a crash photo, indicates it was linen covered, but some profiles show it looking like it could be ply covered. The nose and upper section around the cockpits looks like natural alum. Any confirmation on this?
Thanks as always for the help!
J.R. Boye
