I agree with Bill that you should read reviews on it, but as it's a pretty
new camera, it can be tough to find actual user reviews, versus the canned
press release stuff that many sites post as a review.
On a quick glance at the specs, I would say that, for a basic point and
shoot, it's probably not too bad. However, if you are looking for something
to do model photography with, it might not be too good a choice, mainly due
to the fact that it doesn't have an aperture priority mode or a full manual
mode. That means that you won't be able to set the depth of field in your
photos, with the result that model photos will likely end up with a nicely
focused center fuselage and an out of focus nose, tail, and wings.
If you are looking for a camera for model photos, definitely look for one
with aperture priority mode, as that is essential.
Sincerely,

Subject: [WWI] Digital Camera
I think it may finally be time to spring for a camera so I can take photos
to share with everyone. But I know next to nothing about digital cameras.
Help, please?
CostCo is advertising a Panasonic Lumix FS15 with 29 mm wide-angle Leica
lens. It's got a 5x optical zoom, 12.1 megapixel, optical image
stabilization and a 2.7" LCD. Comes with a 2 GB SD card.
Price: $149.99. Should I buy it?
Mike
