Actually re-reading my post it does sound rather negative but I didn't mean it to be; well, not entirely anyway. I only object to kits being released with "NEW!!" plastered all over them only to discover it's the same old plastic from the Cretaceous period of modelling but with different decals - sometimes even the same decals.
> IMO in this case Hasegawa is using smart selling techniques and benefiting modellers. Aircraft in airshow or anniversary decal schemes may be a small market - so mould a lot of the F-xyz and box them in several different schemes, each with an alternative set of decals for a standard line aircraft.

I certainly have no problem with them trying to breathe new life into an old kit by adding different markings and it certainly helps us, especially if it's a kit that hasn't been available for some time. I just wish they wouldn't keep releasing them at the same high prices as the new tools...!

I wouldn't mind that one either. Does a kit with those decals exist (or aftermarket decals), or is it merely wishful thinking on your part Shane?
