Some have claimed to have done this successfully, but not me! I'm not the 
right person to ask since I've never had much luck (or skill or talent) at 
all making long runs of sprue or rod or any shape! I've seen model RR shops 
that have thin and narrow brass strips that are long enough for 1/32 size 
fighter rigging, but brass seems to kink so easily. This may be where 
aftermarket stuff might come in handy if they want to jump on it!
