Hi guys,
I have been reading about four color lozenge tonight for my Fokker D.VI
project, and I have been looking at some of the speculative colors, and some
of the original surviving examples as well.
Well, the Roden sheet for my D.VI is not even close... if it were close,
then I would use them, but the purples are far too dark, as are the blues
(upper surfaces); the lower surface decals are a bit closer, but still way
off of any of the examples.
So, I am curious... what do you guys do? Aftermarket?
I thought of either: 1) scanning the decal sheet, and correcting each color
myself, and then re-printing them on a clear decal sheet, or 2) scanning the
decal sheet, making a mask with lo-tac painter's tape, and painting it by
hand.
Leaning towards #2... what do you guys think?
