Not sure how you've come up with this but the "wraparound" on the lower fuselage longerons is evident on a good many Dr.I pics as well. Tutschek's aircraft for instance shows this quite clearly and Rimmell mentions it as a fairly standard practice in the Dr.I Special. It can also be seen on the horizontal stabs of some Dr.Is.
