I have Goshawk Sqn. Didn't realise it was a trilogy.

John,

Derek Robinson did write a trilogy of WW1 novels.  The first being GOSHAWK SQUADRON.
The next novel in the series was WAR  STORY and the third novel was HORNET'S STING.  However,
chronologically in his trilogy WAR STORY takes place in 1916, HORNET'S STING takes place in 1917
and GOSHAWK SQUADRON in 1918.

HTH,

I just read a mystery by John Sandford. The main character is waiting to meet with someone, and goes to a bookstore. He purchases Goshawk Squadron, and describes it as being the 3rd
in a series. ??? I thought GS was the writer's first book. Piece of Cake   was written some time later, and sure isn't WWI. Am I missing some good reads??-John Marganski
