Tom,

     I did use spars for my wings.  The kit gives you 1/16" brass tube for
the upper and lower wing support.  However, that diameter of the tubing is
too thick for the proper wing thickness scale that I wanted.  I used .047"
piano wire for my wings.  The lower wing the piano wire goes all the way
through the fuselage at the wing root and covers 90% of the lower wing span.
The top wing the piano wire also covers about 90% of the wing span.  I also
bent the piano wire to give it a slight dihedral to both the upper and lower
wings.

Beautiful!!!
I have built an Airframe kit years ago, a Fokker E.V. The one thing I love
and hate about the Airframe kits how thin the vacu-from sheets are. Did you
put spars in the wings to keep them from warping and if so what did you use?
