Hi Matt;
The W.29 I built combined MPM and Pegasus components, so I know those kits. I also have built almost all of the other Toko kits, and they are all pretty similar.
Most Toko kits have these advantages: full engine, good accuracy, reasonable cockpit detail, a number of versions and accessories. I think the Toko W.29 included a beaching trolley. Toko kits were also very reasonably priced.
Their biggest drawback was usually the decal sheet, which was not great quality. Many times the markings were inaccurate in color. Maybe someone who owns this kit could be more specific.
The MPM W.29 is fine in outline, includes both early and late tailplanes and offers two color schemes-transitional crosses and late crosses. The lozenge sheet was fine- I used it on my H-B W.20. This kit comes with a very nice PE set with cockpit details, stirrup steps, rudder control horns, etc.The price was moderate.
I didn't like the surface detail on the MPM plastic parts- it was fairly crude with a lot of cleanup to do.
The Pegasus W.29 has very nice surface detail and excellent accuracy. Pegasus kits always feature well-done cast metal parts as well. In this case these include the float 'W' struts (separate parts in the MPM kit), propeller, engine, seats and guns. The included Pegasus lozenge is very finely printed and I used it on my W.29. It is only printed in two colors, though, because it is intented to go over upper surfaces that are already painted grey. Pegasus kits can be pricey unless they are on sale.
Almost every Pegasus kit can build only one specific aircraft, and that is the same here. Only a late tailplane is included, although two radiators are supplied. Besides the float 'W's, all other struts are cut from supplied stock.
I hope this helps some. No kit is the clear winner as far as I am concerned. Your could build a truly great model using all three :-)

Subject: [WWI] H-B W.29, which kit?
I was wondering if the list might shed some light on what are the plusses and minuses of the Toko/Eastern Express kit versus the Pegasus kit?
Thanks,
Matt K.
