Thanks for all the comments on the H-B W.29!
Yeah, I also missed the Toko kit. It was very tempting, but I couldn't see buying yet a third W.29 kit at the time. I understand it did come with a beaching trolley though. I think the Pegasus kit with MPM details gave a good result.
The reason for the port-exiting exhaust on my W.29 is that 2512 had a Benz Bz III engine fitted and that's the way it was configured. A number of engines were used by H-B on the '29s. When fitted with Daimler or Mercedes engines, the pipes are on the starboard side.

It must seem like I'm keeping up with Dennis on my model postings while he is occupied by a titanic struggle with the Staaken. I picture Dennis as Captain Ahab submerging and resurfacing with Moby Zep.
Actually I have been building for decades, but just recently bought a digital camera and learned how to use the thing and process the photos, so I am catching up a bit. These photos are amazing to me in the fact that they can get so close. Sometimes they show more than I really want... It's weird, but I can actually see the little stinkers better online than I can in person.

                                                   J.R. Boye

 JR,
