[WWI] Dogfight 2

Has anyone come up with a real good way to get through the Bomber Escort wave? I've got one path that can work, more or less, but it's tough if I miss the first blue 'ace' EA on the first pass. 
And what's everyone's high scores so far? I got up to around 2,820,000 once, but haven't gotten past 2 million since.
