[WWI] RFC Nieuport 17/23 Colour

Now common wisdom is most RFC Nieuport 17/23s were in aluminium paint, with the exception of some early ones in the 
French green/brown scheme.

However, the Nieuports in RFC etc Service book has a few (mainly 23s) in a what appears to be a camo scheme - dark 
upperws (Notwithstanding that aluminium finish looks very dark in some photos).

The book doesn't cover colour schemes in any detail, but my thoughts are these would be repainted in PC10 at 
unit/depot level. Anyone else got an opinion?
