Howdy Gang!

I just got done pawing thru my latest box of loot from Roll Models and I
thought I'd share.

The new Grigorovich M.5 from Copper State Models has to be one of the best
values out there. It's an awesome kit for $48. The 1/72 kit of the same
plane from Omega is $64.75. There are 15 pages of instructions, drawings and
reference material. Markings for four aircraft and a nice p/e fret. The
fuse is cast as a single piece, with two little cut-outs for detailing the
interior. Some jigs will be required, but it's going to be an great plane
once it's done.

I also received a DFV C.V from Karaya ($68) which is also a great kit. I've
never seen bulkheads molded into each fuselage half before. The p/e cooling
jackets are pre-rolled for us now too. There aren't as many p/e bits, 2
sheets of instructions (which say they have better instructions on the web?)
and only one choice of markings. It's still a really nice kit. Karaya's work
has come so far from the resin kits we were seeing 5-10 years ago.

Now I'm off to go fold p/e in my Roden D.VII. (Have we ever found the
scoundrel who "designed" the engine bearers for this kit?)
