so faded?

 

Thank you for your kind comments. To give the lozenge that faded look all I
did 

was to mix a small amount of Matt White (HUMBROL #34) with Matt Clear
(HUMBROL #49) and streaked it on. I, too, paint by hand.  I do not know how
to airbrush.
