Jim,

    That panel appears in all the 1/48th Eduard Nieuports, AFAIR. It was 
discussed at one point on list and *may* turn up if you search the archives. 
In a quick conversation with some of the Belgian listees I recall not the 
details of, some years ago, (but they knew more about Nieuports than anyone 
I've met ) and one of them said that a few examples did actually use that 
panel, which suprised me. I have seen a photo of an RFC Nieuport that seemed 
to have such a panel, but if I look I bet it'll turn out to be a figment of 
my fervent imagination......
