  Does anyone know the general colourings of the BE2s of the early home
defence squadrons?


   I saw Bob Pearson's profile of Leefe Robinson's 39Sqn one, with a black
front and the rest of the fuselage/flying surfaces CDL.


  Was that widespread, standard or only his flight/sqn?  Or his personal
markings?


  I know later that they had NIFO and removed the white from the roundels,
but I'm more interested in the early days, around 1915-1916.
