yes, jacket and bits are from the part p.e. set. the receiver is from the
roden kit, i think it looks better than the folded p.e. part.

you're right, in bigger scales metal tube material is first choice.
personally i wouldn't dare to drill a hole in the 1/72 sprue barrel ...

a 0.3 mm airbrush and diluted paint should work on the assembled gun.
(hopefully)
