If you're looking for a background for the ot figure, remember the
look of the English countryside has changed enormously on the last few
hundred years. Enclosure radically changed the way land was used and
divided up
"Open field" was the usual method of farming in much of the country at
this time so backgrounds with hedgerows would be anachronistic as
these mostly date from later periods.
There is still some open field farming in part of Nottinghamshire and in Devon.
BTW women of the middle ages tended to wear rather heavier clothes
even in high summer, though she actually looks slightly overdressed
for simple egg collecting. I always collect eggs in the altogether -
an old wise woman once explained that eggs collected this way are
better for you and taste better unless you also keep geese, as there
is a considerable risk of painful personal injury
