[WWI] Fokker V8

Thanks Robert. I¹ve modelled the thing in 3D and attempted to cast the same
shadows to get a feel for the wing spans. I¹ve finished up with the top
front wing longer than the rear top, which is not how the 3-views in WW1
Aero show it, but it does tie up with the span in the Fokker Typen table, so
I have my own version of the 3-view now, and that¹s how I¹m building it.
regards
Steve

<<I¹m part way through building a V8, but can find only one picture of the
beast, which is taken from the port side. Has anyone ever seen a picture
taken from the front or rear? >>

That seems to be IT. I've never seen another photo of this monster. Quite
some time ago I asked over on the "other" place if anyone had ever seen
another photo....I'm still waiting for an answer. This same photo has been
published in numerous places but due to the various print qualities and
contrasts, some published versions bring out certain details and contours
that may not show up in another publication.

<<With the help of Dennis Ugulano I¹ve got a 3-view from WW1 Aero, which I¹m
pretty sure has errors. WW1 Aero also has a Fokker table of dimensions all
the WW1 designs, and this does not match the 3 view either.>>

There were two 3views in WW I Aero that I'm aware of. One was a very small
one by Achim Engels and a larger one by somebody else. The Engels one didn't
quite match the photo as well as the other one. The dimension table has some
clues because you can kinda sorta almost put this info together with other
experimental Fokkers that could've shared parts or design features with the
V.8, especially the the engine paneling and contours. I can't recall what
all text sources I was following up to squash it all together. It's been
awhile since I was all hot and bothered about this oddball machine.....I
should have kept better notes.
RK....disgruntled for a variety of reasons.
