[WWI] Back to the models: an approach

Folks,

I finally managed to bring my tools and a couple of models to
Curitiba, where I live. I moved to the town in 2004 and since then
both my finished models, stash and tools were at my parents' house.
Now, with cheaper air fares, I left the bus era behind and it was
easier to transport modeling stuff, except for finished models which
remain at my parents' waiting for a safer occasion to travel -- during
my vacations last month I even managed to finish a Roden D.VII which I
had started in 2004.

Well, now that I can build airplanes again, considering that Curitiba
will host a modeling exhibit in July, and having in mind my limited
time for the hobby, the years away from the working bench and my habit
of building more than one kit at the same time, I looked at the stash
and picked three kits to help getting the feeling back:

* Eduard Dr.I non-profipack -- easy build, little rigging. I'll just
add some interior detail and PE Spandaus. Markings chosen are LvR's.
* Revell Albatros D.III -- old kit with red plastic, I'll just add a
resin seat and resin Spandaus to replace the kit guns. I'll build this
one as Tutschek's all-black plane: easy to paint, no wings covered by
lozenge.
* Roden Pfalz D.IIIa -- a kit I already built in the past, so I know
what to expect. I chose Berthold's blue and red plane. OOB except for
PE Spandaus, although the Roden ones are pretty decent IMHO.

I hope to get them all ready by mid-July for the exhibit.

And I have pics of the Hans Besser's D.VII I just finished. Will send them ASAP.

All the best from Brazil

Marcio
