Subject: [WWI] Fisher's special projects
As the unofficial 'list ship guy,' I thought I would pass along some exciting news for those of you interested in OT floaty things. A group called 'Admiralty Model Works' is in the process of producing all three of Jackie Fisher's special project battlecruisers in 1/700. They've already done the HMS Courageous and has just now released the HMS Glorious. HMS Furious is on the ways -- as a battlecruiser, not an aircraft carrier (single 18" guns fore and aft).
The Courageous is outfitted as a mine layer, while the new Glorious is outfitted with flying off platforms as well as 1/700 scale Camels, Pups and Strutters.
Here's the 'News' page from their site:

Here's what the Courageous looks like:

I've always found these special project battlecruisers to be very handsome ships and hope to add all three to my collection of WWI British Battlecruisers.
I now return the list to its normal discourse on aircraft . . .
