I don¹t have the mag, but 179, 873, 874, and 875 took part in the raid,
though 179 broke its tail skid and didn¹t take off. Comma rudder on 504s.
regards
Steve

Hey Everybody..

Hope the summer's been good to you all (at least where they HAVE summers!)

I am converting the Airfix 504K to the AVRO 504,as featured in Scale Models
International's article in their British Bomber Collection series (I believe
it was issued in the 80's). It's a xeroxed copy, and it's an unusual article
in that it has no 3-views or assembly drawings, and the photos on my copy
are pretty washed out. It features the Avro 504 in the raid on
Friedrichschan Zeppelin base at Lake Constance, The article mentions
drawings in the Airfix Magazine February 1969 issue.
Does anyone:
 1. have the Airfix article they could scan for me?
 2. Know where there are photos of the aircraft?

I particularly need the serial number on the rudder and if the rudder was
the coma shaped or the 'C' variety with the fin and rudder?

Thank you all so much.

Mike W.
