Welcome, welcome! ;-)
And a confidence destroyer when I came across such things as "I abandoned the project when I discovered the wing chord was too narrow".
I can find a lot of stuff telling what is wrong. Where do I go to find out what is right?
Well, the most important thing is having fun building planes. The only one who must approve your work is yourself. I'm returning to modeling after a 4-year break, and only now I'll start rigging Albatros and Pfalz planes. I didn't do that before, and I was OK with it.

Another example: I'm building Lothar von Richthofen's triplane, and it has a darker tone of yellow in the insignia region on fuselage and top wing. I made some attempts to replicate it on scrap pieces and didn't get it. So I just decided to paint the thing yellow and apply the crosses on it. Of course we all want our kits to be as accurate as possible, but when modeling brings you more headache than joy, well, something is wrong.

All the best from Brazil

Marcio
