No, not me, but perhaps a relative? My great-grandfather, David Dickie, was an airplane engine mechanic for the US expeditionary force in WWI and he passed away when I was about 4 yrs old, so sadly I have no memories of him (but happily I have his WWI victory medal). His son (my grandfather) was also named David, and he worked as an engine mechanic on PT boats in the pacific during WWII, and later he worked on bombers in the Philippines after they were liberated.

during the war. If not please excuse the intrusion. Sincerely, Phil Lanni

Thank you,
The wood was done by brush, first with a base coat of PollyS brand acrylic 'dirty white', covered with a thin wash of Citadel brand 'flesh wash' and then with a burnt umber oil wash to try to make a weathered and worn appearance. It was my first (and only) attempt in using an oil paint...and I'm not sure if I would use it again. But thank you for the compliment!

PS: was the wood made with water pencil?
