[WWI] Newbe question

Hi Ed,

I made five runs on the Sam Houston SSBN609 Blue out of Holy Lock from 1964 to 1966 as a NAVET too. I then went on to ET 'B' School and then got instructor duty orders to end up in 1970. I live in Florida on the west coast above St. Petersburg. If our boats are OT what does that make us?

Rick

  Rick,
Welcome to the list from a fellow "Bubble Head" and Boomer sailor in sunny but COLD Florida.
I did seven patrols out of Scotland in the early 70s as a Nav ET on SSBN 628 and spent another 5 months on the Compass Island testing NEW "Stuff". Lucky enough to have punched one and witnessed two launches.
Our boats almost qualitfy as OT (got to keep it legal)!

    Rick,

Welcome to the list from Atlanta, Georgia, USA. With your sign off on your first post you sound like you are/were a "Bubble Head" in the NAVY. I was a "BB Stacker" for 26 years in the NAVY.

    Again welcome,

    Buz

      Hello all,

I am very new to your BB but have been a modeler for ages. I have a new-guy question if I may. What does "OT" stand for? I have never seen it used before.

      TIA,

      Rick Nelson
