Marc and Tom, thanks for the replies.
I have seen the site on the Imperial Navy, and it is excellent. The model photos are especially helpful. Unfortunately, U-boats are not specifically dealt with, and I was hoping for more guidance on that.
Marc, the photo of U-35 was just great. I had not seen that one before and it is really clear compared to the fuzzy shot in the Osprey book. Thanks for that.
I see you went with the red hull on your model. Do you remember why you went with that? I was also thinking of deleting the stern gun since it doesn't appear in the photos.
I think I was luckier with my kit since the molding looks pretty even on mine.

An excellent on-line reference for the WW1 German Navy is here:
http://german-navy.tripod.com/
Unfortunately, except for the color guide, there's not much there for
the submarine modeler.
This site: http://uboat.net/history/wwi/index.html has some good photos
of WW1 German U-boats.
There's a picture of U-35 here:

Here's a picture of the model I made (scroll all the way to the
bottom):

At the time I found several other pictures of the boat, but I can't
seem to find them now. It may be I need to look through my library at
home.
