Harry Hawker, not the Harrier or Mr Sopwith. Hawker was Australian. Just realised that what I wrote was as clear as mud!

Well, you could be forgiven dsepending on your loyalties since the Se* H*rrier is the last all british Fighter and is semi OT as it can trace its lineage back through Harry Hawker to some of the Sopwith Designs. Although one shouldn't forget that this icon of teh British aviation industry was Australian!

The worst of it is he does finish most of them, and damn well too. To make matters worse, that list
of WW1 models is just the tip of the iceberg. He's a disgrace, and talking of disgraces so am I.
I was visiting listee Mårten Tyllström and admiring his basement full of old Airfix kits, when I saw a
Hasegawa F8 Crusader, and made the mistake of saying, ooo that looks nice, the bastard promptly
gave it to me! So I'm building an F8, and to keep it company a Sea Harrier, I really don't know whats
come over me. Part of the rationalization is that I need to paint the tyres of the Albatross DIII in light
grey, and gull-grey is as good as any shade.

Paul, I think you have mastered a piece of advice I read on this list many years ago: start as many models as possible and never finish any of them.
(Although in your case the "never finish them" doesn't apply.)

Just finishing up the rigging on an Omega, Maurice Farman MF XI bis. <
I have the floatplane version of that kit. Now and then I open it and stare within until my knees tremble. Then I close it and return it to the stash. Definately going to need new glasses before I venture there.
FWIW, the OT models I'm working on are:
1/72nd
A HP 0/400 conversion to a 0/100 (Airfix + Roseplane).
An Eduard Fokker E.III
3 Bristol Fighters with engine conversions (Airfix/Classic Plane/Libramodels mix 'n match).
Flashback Voisin L
RVHP Breguet XVI (this may defeat me since the fuselage has been cast with a rhomboid section, needing the entire base sanding flat and then the entire rebuilding with one side higher - the mold must have been pushed over while the resin was curing).
Was working on a CMR Sopwith Dolphin but I put it down somewhere and now can't find it.
1/48th
Karaya Ansaldo Balilla.
Blue Max Phonix D.I
Glencoe Spad XIII.
HiTech AEG G.IV.
Various F2bs by various companies.
1/32nd
Rebuilding and repainting a Hobbycraft Nieuport 17.
So there. What are the rest of you up to? Enquiring minds etc.
Paul.
