Chris,
Thanks. The Gotha was meant to be scary. At some point I realized that
more people would see my pictures than would see the actual plane, and
started working harder on the photography. Took over half a day, but well
worth it. By the way, I extended the backgrounds in PhotoShop to make sure
they filled out the picture, cropped and resized, deleted some hanging
wires, and adjusted some of the lighting, but otherwise, the pictures are as
taken.
I don't do pilots or gunners because I think they tend to come out tacky,
and better none than tacky. That's also why I generally don't replicate
specific planes. I fear my errors of execution would detract more than
doing a plausible schema of my own that I can properly execute.
I had to look up Marie Celeste. Hmmm! Works for me!
