In Swedish they used to call the Albatros CIII a "tross", they
couldn't call it a "tros" because that means knickers, so I'm
just being careful there.

Well, I only saw one photo that showed the funnel version, I've
seen others with a more encapsulated system. Perhaps you're correct
and just the fun-lovers had the open system!
