Don,

a quick search of the aerodrome forum has come up with this posting:-

The glorious magazine WW1 Aero the journal of the early aeroplane has run during a very long time a series of articles on Cockpits/Instruments on all sorts of different aircraft.

In WW1 Aero 170 (november 2000) in Cockpits/Instruments Part 62(!) you can find detailed drawings of the interior of the Vickers FB-5 Gunbus. There are drawings for the dash board (front), dash board (left hand) and dash board (right hand).

Gives a full view of the instrumentation and assorted things like a hand petrol pressure pump, pulsator oil cocks, petrol pressure gauge etc.

HTH

Chris.

Am currently doing the Blue Max Vickers FB5 Gunbus. Does anybody know of a cockpit view of this machine ? What does the instrument panel look like? Windsock and the Datafile don't help. Thanks

  Don
