I assume you are talking about the 1/72 scale kit, right?  

Why not go with the Flyboys kit?  It is just the standard kit (no PE), with the movie decals.   If you have leftover decals in the stash, you're all set.....  and the kit does come with national markings for two planes, plus the fictional personal markings of the pilots from the film..
