" I just used water to thin them, and I found them to be excellent on a
matt primercoat (grey acrylic auto primer). I built the paint up in many
thin layers using a hairdryer to speed up the drying time between coats.
They dry pretty quick anyway. Quite tough for a water based acrylic too. I
suppose Isopropyl alcohol would work well too. Hope that helps. "
Oh, I forgot to add, I'll be spraying them over a primer coat of Mr.
Surfacer 1000. Mr. Surfacer is GREAT stuff! I can see why a lot of people
are addicted to using it on their kits. After my first kit combined with
using acrylics for the first time (MisterKit) I will use some kind of primer
for now on to give them something to "bite" into.
