I agree, the best resin engines money can buy.
BUT.... The problem is that the engines are modeled so precise (and
hence are larger than the kit's engines) they wont fit in the cowling
of your model(!)
I don't know about the Mercedes engine yet (I ordered a couple myself
trusting these will give me less fitting problems) but all the types
of rotary engines won't fit. Even after heavy scribing of the inside
of the (a) cowling the engine will not fit. At one model (a DML Fokker
DR1) I managed to squeeze the Gnome in after heavy scribing of the
inside of the cowling but the rocker arms of the cylinders were
pressed at the inside of the cowling and that looked unacceptable
silly. In an attempt to solve the problem I bought the CMK resin DR1
cowling set and that's a pretty thin cowling but still no go.
Facuforming a new cowling in very thin plastic card might solve the
problem but hec, I think that's a lot of trouble to go through just to
fit in a beautiful engine.
Another option is to leave the cowling off and display your model like
that.
As you will understand I have very mixed feelings regarding the Vector
engines (and I bought a lot of them not knowing then what I know now).
I think it would have been better if they had made them about 5%
smaller in scale. I mean, it's great that the engines are spot on 1:48
but what's the use if it won't fit in your model?
A while ago I send an email to the manufacturer and the wholesaler
with my remarks but no reply.
