If that isn't a big can-o-worms I don't know what is.
I will agree that the original airfoil is always better if you are
building a static model, but depending on the scale you are building
for flying, I would suggest that the scale airfoil will not always
fly in a scale fashion. How can this be? Quite simply Reynold's
numbers and wing loading do interesting things as you scale a model up or down.
