Hi Joe-
FWIW, I was doing similar research earlier this year and I can identify
with your frustration in searching for something with a definitive
statement of the Biff airfoil. I finally stumbled upon Volume 17, #2 of
the American Aviation Historical Society Journal, which included a
couple of good articles, nice detail sketches, and a fine Biff drawing
with a firm declaration of the RAF 15 as its airfoil. I haven't yet
studied up on the details, but I understand the US considered
manufacturing a re-engined Biff (post-war) and I imagine did a thorough
aerodynamic and structural analysis in the process. This connection is
why the British plane is featured in this journal of Americal aviation
history.
Anyhoo, hope this helps in some measure. Please let me know if you'd
like a Xeroxed copy of the articles/drawings in question.
Regards-
Ken A.

well I finally got what I needed and after all day of not doing anything
its
not the right one seems theres a conflict of reference. a couple say it
is
raf 8 and a couple others say its raf 15. after putting both airfoils
fide
by side and going through abt 400 reference photos the raf 15 is tons
closer
than the 8. then after 4 hrs of drawing the wingplan come to find out
conflicts in some of the dimensions so finally i said heck with it I
will
use wylams dimensions. his outlines etc may not be correct but all his
dimensions are adding up. man the ailerons on this beast were big. the
outer
panels were 17 1/2 feet by 5 ft 6 1/2" and the ailerons were 7 ft 1 inch
by
2 ft
