thank you immensely, dave!  much appreciated.  i'd love to see your 
friend's work, too.  that's quite a collection!  and the process of 
drawing plans from photos is an ongoing fascination to me, so this 
sounds like someone i would definitely like to know better.

btw, i'm with eric on your builds--your floatplanes are wonderful.  i 
especially like the fairey.  that one is new to me.
