[WWI] Jenny

Hi Dave,

I'm glad to see all the interest in the Jenny; it's one of my favorites and was the subject of my 1st stick and tissue models. My dad used to get joy rides in them as a boy when he worked at the local airport. Man, those were the days! I'm currently working on a scratch build of the twin Jenny to go with my other 4 or 5 Jennies(or is it Jennys?). Watch for it.

  Cheers,

  Joel

          Hi Ernest,
Attached is a link of my Hisso powered Jenny based on photos of the one at Rhinebeck, had to scratchbuild the lower cowl & use a Hisso from the mentioned SE5a, not too much work.

I don't think I did knock it. Didn't I describe t as 'vernerable' and
'loaded with potential'?
BUt while we're talking abot Jennys, were any of them ever fitted with Hisso
engines? Because while the parts supplied with the Jenny kit to represent an
OX-5 leave a lot to be desired, the Hisso engine that comes with the old
Lindberg Se-5a was a little gem as I recall. That could be just what I need
to get back to work on the barnstormer dio.
E.
