Mike,
Don't forget the half-nekid Jenny specimin on display the Naval Aviation
Museum in Pensacola. I did have a complete set of walk-around pics on the
list site at one time. Should still be there I'd guess.
As for a Jenny cook-up, I don't know whay we never did it but I'd guess that
back in the days when we started doing the cook-ups, there were no Olimp
kits yet, which left the 1/72ers out in the cold, and the venerable old
Lindberg Jenny, while packed with potential, really needs a good bit of
extra work to get it up to modern standards. We could use a new 1/48 Jenny
kit, or at least a new set of wings, a good engine and maybe even a cockpit
from an after-market resin popper for the Lindberg Jenny.
I also have a certain fondness for the old crate. I even salvaged the
fuselage from the long time in progress Barnstormer Jenny project I had
going back in NO. A decent engine was all I was waiting for.
