All
Thanks for all the encouraging comments re the Baby. As I am currently
trying to complete 1:144 scale civilian airliners for our club display
(Earley Risers) at SMW and seeing everything go wrong I realise I am far
more at ease with alegedly complicated subjects with multiple wings and
wires. No transparencies to mess up or shiny metallic silver finishes
(as opposed to silver doped) to high-light all ones errors.
I was referring to the bomb and not the gun, sorry for the confusion.
Guns painted matt black and rubbed with pencil lead look right, I hope
to post an example after SMW.
Joel bear with me when I say that double flying wires are very much
easier if you adopt holes and thread of some nature but as this
discussion has occurred before I know each modeller has his or her own
preferences!
Looking forward to Telford and meeting as many of our fellow listees who
make the pilgrimage as possible. I shall have to spend a certain amount
of time on the Earley Risers stand which is in Hall 1 so do come by
though we will not have any OT relevant subjects.(stands 216-217 or
there abouts)
Although Nigel intends to honour the organisers plea for not too much
hospitality behind the stand the 'foreign' contingent (who are in the
same area) normally seem to engage in plenty of hospitality and not a
few organisers are too be seen in their environs enjoying aformentioned
hospitality so I suspect if the stand is left unattended whilst we
repair to the cafe we will return to find at least a scattering of bread
& cheese and wine in the vincinity!
Finally I didn't realise that Canadians and Greeks were not normal
carbon based life forms, (re ouzo) but that probably explains a lot of
things!
