[WWI] Correcting Toko Nie. 11 cowl/ was:Bloody April,...

Hi all,

I'm revisiting this old thread because I want to make a Nieuport 11.

Some questions:

* Anyone has actually used the Revell Ni 17 wings to correct the Toko kit? I
am one of those who collected Revell kits so I have lots of lower wings...
But given the incorrect swept back this would lead to adicional corrections
in the Revell wings...

* Any visible difference between French and Italian built Ni.11's? Intrument
panel, for instance? I want to represent Ni 2123 flown by Alvaro Leonardi. I
think the best reference available to me is Alberto Casirati's photos in the
list: http://www.wwi-models.org/Images/Casirati/Nieuport/index.html

Thanks!

Carlos

*What Mikko said. Maybe it is even better out of the box than Tokos own.
I seem to remember that Tokos cowling needs some trimming.

*Not at all. And those lucky enough who have hoarded old Revell Nie 17
kits can use lower wings from those kits cut to proper span instead of
Tokos too short representations.

See, there was some wisdom in Matt's (and some other people's)
collecting old Revell Nieuports.
