Hi,
I have had same problem with Mister Kit's Albatros Pale Blue. I think that the problem is due to the defectuosity of some paint bottles.
I tried same method like you... With same result.
Fortunately, it was just after having bought my paints directly from Mister Kit, Italy. I contacted them and they sent me a replacement paint.
So, that problem can happen with Mister Kit colors, but of course those paints, when well-conditionned, are excellent ones...
For the Pfalz Silbergrau, I will check my doc to see if I don't own another "method"...
Greetings from Belgium
Daniel

Subject: [WWI] Misterkit Pfalz Silbergrau
I'm working on a Pfalz and opened up this Misterkit paint for the first time. It's fairly fresh, only a couple of months since purchase, but I'm having a problem with it.
When I first opened it I found only a thick sludge at the bottom. Taking care not to add too much distilled water at a time, I squeezed in a couple of dropfuls of distilled water, mixed it thoroughly with the back of a brush, then added more water, etc., etc. When that was done--I'd added enough water by this time to fill the bottle and in order to get it thin enough for airbrushing--I tried spraying it.
The paint still had enough small "globs" in it so it clogged my airbrush four or five times. I stopped and cleaned the brush each time, then finally gave up. Later that day I took the bottle and shook it continually for about ten minutes while watching TV, then tried again. The paint now flows through the brush, but leaves noticeable specks on the plastic.
So, is there any solution to salvage the paint, or should I just revert to spraying Ray Rimell's formula of 2/3 Modelmaster silver enamel and 1/3 white?
