The article was not based On Ray Rimmels research but research
conducted on frabric from An AH aircraft in a museum during its
restoration. The research arrived at the fact that the Dope/varnish
had changed the colour of the fabric chemically down through the
years. But since there was no fabric in existence that was undoped it
could not categorically be proven as to the initial color.
