I don't doubt what you and Joe say about the rules, though I may not
understand why anyone would bother. But your sentence above is perhaps where
we differ. I'm suggesting it is the interpretation of learned and recognised
authorities on the chosen subject, not the builder's interpretation. Surely
that, plus photos, must count as being as close to evidence as you are ever
going to get for a great many subjects, WWI or not?? Otherwise all you're
ever going to be able to prove without a shadow of a doubt is the colour of
Cessna 150s and Piper Cherokees...! ;-0
