Sorry mate, that comment was meant tongue in cheek, as I did read your write-up. Hence the :P at the end of the comment

I for one do not criticise for the simple reason that I have yet to put any of my models forward, and honestly, my knowledge is lacking. I can recognise most WW1 aircraft, I can tell stories about some of teh chracters, but whether an Albatross is Austrian or German, I honestly wouldn't know.

The models that are submitted I find very inspiring, and when I do get to go home I will most definately be submitting a few

And yes, I definately need critiscism; the members whose knwoledge is encyclopediac, who have built far more models than I will ever build, I definately value your input

Douglas, anything I submit to the list is there to be criticised, and
there's a lot more wrong with the model than that. I did, however, mention
in the blurb that I knew I'd left the roundel off. In fact, I'm not
convinced the cowling panels are green. There's at least a tonal change
between the cowling and what would be the green of the roundel, so maybe the
cowling was grey, or if green then not flag green. Or the difference could
just be due to the changing angle of the compound curve. The only thing I
see for sure is the light coloured ring. At this point my head began to hurt
too much. I couldn't see a way to resolve it for sure, so copped out and
hoped that the roundel was the last bit painted in real life, in which case
my model depicts the state of play just before it was added.
