Pegasus decals are fine - I like their roundels. The serials are too fiddly for me to handle though and if he needs particular markings, for the fuselage, A/G are the only people are ca think of.

Some of the decals for the SE5 are simple strips of white or circles, so perhaps these can be concocted out of some decal paper. If it's a white 2 you need, you can sometimes get those dry transfer sheets with various numbers & letters.

There's always Pegasus for National markings and serials. Anyone ordered anything from Chris recently?

Just had a conversation with Tom Young, who bought that S.E.5a yesterday. As noted, it contains two types of radiators, two types of propellers, and also has a spinner (presumably McCudden's LVG C.V variety). Tom compared it to his really old Revell S.E. and it's the same kit with the exception of the additional parts noted, but sans the old two-piece stand.

The markings are a problem, however. The kit has markings for a No. 111 squadron machine in Palestine and also a No. 143 (HD) squadron machine, but nothing that would make use of the spinner. The HD machine has a blue band with a white "2" in it. If it's C1805 (see Windsock S.E.5a Special, p. 16) then the band should be red, not blue.

I'll have to wait for my two kits to arrive next week to confirm this. Here's a question for everyone: I made a quick check of the Squadron website to see if they had any 1/72 S.E.5a markings and came up empty. Does anyone know of a decal manufacturer that can help us out here? (Ah, would that AG were still around!)

                                            Mike
