[WWI] Posting images to the list - colors

Well, my answer is simple; it would cost me more money to play golf from lost balls, bent clubs etc, plus I would get banned from many grounds.

modelling pinochio, and you can paint your models any way you like.
Come to think of it why bother with models, why not go and play golf
instead?

Why worry about the colors?
Nobody is ever going to agree anyway.
Besides, even if a person has an actual sample that is not necessarily
the
accurate color.
After all, colors change over time due to many factors, not the least of

which is the aging of the varnish, or dope or whatever they used.
It is possible that actual swatches of the original unused fabric have
been
stored under ideal conditions so one may get as close to a true color as

possible. but so what? After actual use in the field, covered with the
dope
or varnish, exposed to harsh sunlight, hot castor oil, exhaust fumes,
spilled fuel, dust and dirt, etc. etc. the color of the original fabric
would not necessarily be the color of the actual airplane.
As far as I am concerned the disputes over the colors approaches the
arguments about how many angels can dance on the head of a pin.
With that being the case why worry about the accuracy of the photos?
Graciously yours,
